About: Migrating Bird invites you to step into the natural world through the music of Véronique Serret, one of Australia’s most celebrated experimental and classically trained violinists. Migrating Bird is an intimate journey inspired by Australian landscapes, where contemporary and classical music meet, and where Véronique uses her voice and violin to sing songs as offerings to nature on her ARIA-nominated album.

Conceived during the pandemic on a property in Brookfield and in the forests of Mount Coot-tha, Queensland, Migrating Bird reflects months of walking, listening, and learning from the natural world. Mother Nature became her teacher, and now, through music, she invites you to do the same.

Join Véronique, her band, and special guest William Barton (yidaki/didgeridoo, voice and guitar) for an evening of hauntingly beautiful, contemplative music. This festival performance offers a deeply personal and immersive experience.

We invite you to listen deeply, and let Migrating Bird guide you through reflection, connection, and communion with the natural world.

Evocative and raw, gypsy spirit, yet oblique. Véronique is one of the nation's greatest gifts”  - Jim Moginie (Midnight Oil)

Véronique Serret’s Migrating Bird is a beautiful, elusive and Joyful album.. I can’t think of anything else like it”  - Nico Muhly

Rapp had an instinct for being taciturn and pithy; for making the music gossamer light or adding phenomenal weight and vigour, using extraordinarily few notes” - Sydney Morning Herald
